JLC's Internet TV

Tras mucho tiempo de ir probando de forma esporádica programas para ver la televisión por internet, he dado con JLC's Internet TV.

JLC's Internet TV concentra en menos de 200 Kb un completísimo programa para Windows que permite ver la televisión por internet. Es sencillo de utilizar, gratuito e incluye más de 1300 canales preconfigurados (incluso españoles).

El programa no necesita ser instalado, ni escribe en el registro, por lo que es perfecto para los defensores de las aplicaciones mal definidas como portables (aquellas que pueden ser ejecutadas directamente desde un Pendrive sin necesidad de ser instaladas previamente).

Incluye una utilidad adicional, Channel Updater, que se encarga de actualizar la lista de canales disponibles, bien desde la web del propio autor, o bien parseando la página de la World Wide Internet TeleVision (WWWITV).

¿Se le puede pedir más? Pues si, que tenga el código fuente (15 Kb. en formato ZIP) disponible. En este caso es PureBasic.

  2. No se si será efecto Barrapunto, pero yo me acabo de descargar el programa y "Channel_updater.exe" procesado en busca de virus con CAT-QuickHeal v9.00 Atualizacion del:06.02.2007 lo da como infectado con Worm.Warezov.hb

    Supongo que será un falso positivo, pero cuando voy a mirar el código fuente resulta que lo han quitado.

    Pensar que puede ser efecto barrapunto, me anima. Gracias mced. De todas formas el código tampoco tenía mucho misterio, simplemente Basic y API de Windows para acceder al stream de video, y reproducirlo usando el ActiveX de Windows Media.

    Ramón, lo acabo de probar usando el escaneador de virus online. Viendo los resultados, creo que el falso positivo viene por la compresión UPX, y estos han sido los resultados:

  4. De todos modos, hace falta ser un poco friki (en el mal sentido del término). Cuando publicas código libre, ya sea con la licencia GPL o alguna de las Creative Commons, el único derecho que no se te puede quitar es el reconocimiento, la autoría. Por supuesto que alguien se lo puede atribuir por la cara, y seguramente haya un vacío legal en este tipo de licencias que propicie que se pueda salir con la suya.

    Pero vamos, esto ya lo sabe uno antes de subir el código fuente. El que haya más o menos personas bajándoselo, no va a cambiar ese hecho.
